Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm unable to get the HDR setting on my Nikon D5100. I've tried it with the stock lens (18-55) and a 55-300. I'm using both tripod and remote control. When I go into main menu, select the shooting menu, scroll down 1 page, the HDR setting is gray rather than white and I can't select it. The camera tells me that the option isn't available in the current settings. If anyone can help me out with what settings I need to adjust or post a link to a previous thread on the topic, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

yes, I have messed with it. I'm currently on JPEG fine.

Is it working now? Pretty sure you need to be shooting jpeg for in camera HDR. I'd suggest shooting raw still and combine them in post using software.

It's not allowing me to select RAW.

Page 76 - HDR- of your D5100 users manual says "It cannot be used to record NEF (Raw) images."

poker_jake meant shooting Raw so you can use a software application outside the camera to make an HDR image, like Photomatix.

Bracketing it is. It was enabled. Nailed it. Thank you DarkShadow and Poker Jake.
