Heavily processed but I like it, C&C Welcome/Appreciated

Took this while on a walkabout this evening. It started off as a quick color snapshot but I did some work on it. I'm not 100% satisfied, but I like it enough to share. The color image was kinda off kilter due to horrendously bad light from the cloudy skies.

As a noobie myself, I would have handled it differently. First I would have corrected the vertical perspective, which I find distracting. Second, I would dial back the contrast and sharpening to get a more realistic look to it. It's potentially a very nice picture, but I think it's been overly processed, and is verging on cartoonish. When I first got Lightroom 4 and started playing with the sliders it took me a while to realize how easy it is to overdo a good thing. My most recent bout of madness involved split toning. ("Wow! That's cool!" I told myself.) Once I realized I was vying for the next replacement for Velvet Elvis paintings, I dialed it back to the realm of reality again.

Just my opinion, and since I'm a noobie, take my comments with a grain of salt.
