I'm extremely new to photography, I've actually only have messed with my phone's camera, ever. Recently I found a Minolta X-370 at a thrift store, I thought it was a beautiful camera, and the manual focus totally got me. I loved it. Found batteries for it, only to find the film-advance lever is broken. FML...well, a few weeks later, in a different thrift store, I found a Minolta X-700, I used the same batteries I bought for the other one, and it worked! So I'm barely getting into all of this, but I love it. I love having a camera when I'm out and about. I love being able to document life, capture every moment I'd like and keep it with me forever.
