Hello, I'm a Newbie here but I've owned my D40 for about 2yrs now and I love it. I've been reading a lot here and I'm learning a lot. I want to upgrade to a D80 but I'm not sure yet. If I upgrade should I keep my D40 or should I sell it? Here's two pics that I took last month hope y'all like it and If you have some tips for me on how I can improve on the pics please let me know :mrgreen:.

I'd keep the D40. It's always nice to have a backup, just in case, and times it's handy to have 2 lenses mounted and ready to go.

The images are nice (I think) but the extra thick black borders draws too much attention away from the pictures in them (at least it does for me).

Unless the D40 limits you in your photography, there is really not much reason to upgrade. If you still want to get rid of your D40 though, please contact me. I am looking to buy one for IR conversion.
