Help finding eye piece and a mentor

I honestly dont think I misunderstand what a mentor is. Meaning of a mentor is to advise or train. Thats what I am looking for training. Training is teaching . Teach me how you go about your lighting , posing etc.. I took a chance thought maybe someone in my area was willing and I should have been more informative on what i was looking for. I have read alot of things about photography and everybody and their brother have a different opinion on how things are done and what they like. Some say do it this way some say do it that way. Alot of confusing and somewhat conflicting information out there.
