Help identifying this bird

This photo was taken in the excellent bird park near Iguacu Falls, Brazil so I cannot tell you to where it is endemic - but chances are it is either Central or South American. Thanks.

Some kind of heron, maybe. My first thought was an Anhinga but the beak looks wrong.
