HELP! I'm going to cry-- accidentally formatted my hard drive

HELP!!! I am such an idiot. I accidentally formatted my external hard drive where almost all of my lightroom catalog photos are. How can I recover them?

I've had the best of luck from that software though never tried it from a re-formatted partition.

1 - as soon as it's done make a backup or even a copy of everything
2 - do # 1 frequently
3 - don't format your disk again

If yoiu have Windows or Linux machine, syncback SE from 2brightsparks.com is a wonderful program.
I've used it since beta and it works incredibly well and is very flexible.
