Help with my mayonnaise please ..

Is there a setting that will let me see replies under posts?

I see the replies at the bottom of the page and it makes it very difficult to see if one has replied etc.

Only forum that I've seen that does this.

New version 3 am and don't know if it's better or not, egg at 4 o'clock not so good ;-)

I see highlights around the edges of the beets.

You should squirt the mayonaise with a twist, like this:

Some people don't like mayonaise, and if you put it aside on your plate, you can choose to dip your potato in the mayonaise or not.

It actually isn't the fault of the mayonnaise, the real fault is that there is no bacon on the salad.


What. Did you think that you could continually post pictures of food and noone would mention the lack of bacon?

I didn't want to add mayonaise but in my first photo the mayo looked liked blobs on the potato salad.

So I took some advice from here and brushed it off with some water.

Before I worried over lot about the mayo I would try and boil some eggs without over-cooking them. That greenish ring around the yolk is a dead give away

Cooked the eggs for 10 minutes and not 12 - how do they look now ?

Do you see any green on the yolk surfaces? If not then they are perfectly cooked! They look appetizing and more importantly they taste better because the hydrogen sulphide is not created and that is the greeninsh color.

The broken egg sucks and the lettuce looks ... well somewhat wilted and unappetizing. For product/commercial photography ... everything needs to be perfect. To add some drama try some shadows (change the positions of your light) and maybe use salad dressing and shoot the salad while the dressing is being poured.
