Help with taking night pictures

Yeah hello i've taken some night pictures and they have lens flair!
how do i stop having this!!!???????

I have only taken one night photo that is like this so I am not too experienced. I dont know about the lens flare but the second one is nice. What is the green light on the far right?

They are starboard mark leading into the harbour!

including exposure information would help, but if you didnt use yer tripod for these pics, u should have. it looks like u handheld the camera with a shutterspeed of below 60. also, when u use your tripod u get to increase the DOF which would be nice for these.
other than that though, i really like the moodiness of the sky+moon+the shimmering sand.
