I will try to reshoot some pics w/ your guys' ideas. Hopefully it will fix it. i do have the kit lense as well (18-55mm) would that work better?

It's probably the UV filter. If you just got a cheap one you will get this problem. Make sure it's a quality multi coated one or it will be worse than it will be helpful. Use a lens hood and take off that filter and try again. GL

i looked it up

People are getting reflection with this filter because it is not multi coated. Coating kills reflection and keeps colors correct,a non coated filter on a multi coated lens is the worst thing you can do to a fine lens. Spend a little more to get a good one. Look for the term MULTI COATED !

The kit lens won't be any better... in fact it's likely to be much worse. Tiffen is a fine brand, but an extra layer of glass is one more layer to catch a light reflection.
