Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Let me first start off by "Yes I know I am a complete idiot" ... I was trying a new technique I heard about and put a business card in front of my built in/pop up flash and the first couplse shots went really well and I got excited (and careless). I somehow turned the business card around to the front (with pictures/ink) on it and put it in front of the flash and well now there is basically burnt ink on the flash....

Can this be fixed? Am I going to have to send it in to Nikon? Any chance I can just clean it?

Any help would be great! Thanks!

True.

*dislcaimer: I am not responsible for any damages due to trying my suggestion*

Why were you putting a business card directly against/in front of the pop up flash?

I would lightly scrape the burnt ink off the plastic flash lens with a butter knife.

I was putting the business card up at an angle like underneath the flash. It worked great until I got too excited and stopped paying attention...all in all...probably going to be investing in a real flash soon because then it shouldn't matter. I will try to clean it off..I just used a wet paper towel before and that managed to get some of it off. I will try to clean it a little better and update you all. I'm sooo stupid!!

Thanks for the great suggestions! Somebody else has had to have done this before wouldn't you think?? Or am I really "one of a kind" like my mom always said!?

I would try a little isopropynol alcohol on a cotton swab and see if it will rub off.

Thank you!! This worked like a charm! I'm so glad I was smart enough to take your advice! ;) But seriously thanks a million!!!

I was going to say to use some fine sandpaper and BAM! Instant pop up Fong diffuser!!
