Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello there, I'm new here and I would like to show you some of my work to see what ya'll think. Remember, I've been taking photos all my life but have just gotten real serious about it in the past few years and I just recently decided I want to do photography on the side for some extra money and hopefully make it a full time job so if yall have any suggestions for me please let me know and Thank you. The photos you are about to view are from my Polaroid T737 digital camera. I don't have any from my Sony Alpha A350 dslr ready yet. I will soon though.

Hope you enjoyed the photos!!! Please let me know what you think.
Also I just want you to know that I have not done anything w/ these photos as far as cropping or anything like that goes, so they are straight off of the camera.

Well, I'm a rookie too so my opinion doesn't count for much. I liked the photos of the dock the best. I think the subject is interesting, but I also think you should have stood off to one side and shot the subject from an angle instead of looking straight down the dock.

My $0.02...

Yikes.

Some guidlines for you:

1. Post actual pictures in the threads, don't post links.
2. Post a max of 2-3 pictures per thread.
3. Try to give some idea of any specific critiques you are looking for, though this one is optional. :)

Some of us lazy old-timers won't tend to click 80 links or critique 80 pictures. Sorry. We're lazy. Did I mention that? :)

Okay, Sorry guys, I'll remember that next time:confused: I would have posted actual pics but I dont know how to that's why I did it the way I did. I was just wanting to know if you'll thought my photos sucked or were alright or if they were great, I was just kinda wanting to know what you'll would suggest me working on you know just stuff like this cause I'm just starting to get serious about my photography so I was just kinda wanting another photographers views on my work.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far though.

I like the pic of the black dog (#2). What camera and settings did you use for that??

In your editor you should see a little yellow box with a picture of a mountain or something on it. "Insert Image" is the caption.

Click that, type link into the dialog, and you're set.

For example, I just copied one of your links and pasted it in and I get...

Yikes.

 Wasn't expecting that.

Well, some tips based upon this image...

1. Turn off that time/date stamp!
2. For night shots, us a tripod, or at least set the camera down on something and do a timed shutter release (or use a remote shutter release cable) The shakiness is from using it handheld, I assume.
3. Try to make your images a hair smaller for posting up here... I usually do 800-900 pix wide max.

Post some of your others and we'll comment! :)

800 pixels on the long edge.

Sorry, but the one that manaheim brought up is................ doesn't work for me.

Another thing too, please number your photos. It helps identify them when we reply. Like:

#1
"your photo here"

#2
"your photo here"

I agree with Benthic regarding your broken dock or bridge being your best photo. It is difficult rating blurry photos so it might be best to leave some of those out for critiquing. I believe a tripod with a level might have helped you in a few photos. Also, watch out for overexposure in the background washing out your subject; as in the one of the two dogs play fighting. My best recommendation for you is to post process your photos. It makes a world of difference. Hope I was somewhat helpful.

Thanks for all the helpful info everyone, as far as your question potownrob, I had my camera set to Auto; manaheim yes I was using a handheld cause that's all I had at the time, I just got my dslr last week so i havent had time to put any photos from that one on to my computer so I can post some of them on here but I will shortly though.
