This composition came to my mind even without the camera being up to my eye. When I took it, I knew that I was going to have trouble deciding whether to leave it color or convert it to b&w. Well, I do like both but the conversion was my favorite.

It looks almost like an x-ray.

Nicely done, Ron.

Very nice, Ron! While I haven't seen the color version, I'm really liking it in B&W.

I like it, but I think maybe just a little bit of a different crop would work better. Basically, I feel like the eye is still the focal point so it should be more prominent. Not exactly ROT, but a bit closer?

Thanks Jack. The ROT was the first thing that came to my mind and I knew that this one was one where I wanted to break that rule. There was just something about it to me that I just HAD to put that eye in the upper corne and use the feathers and back as the leading lines. When I did the conversion, I really thought it gave the image an x-ray look to it.

Was it cold out? or just late in the day?

Nice image in any case.

It was in the upper 50's and it was about 11:00 am. Not too bad, there were a few of the "resting" like this but there were plenty of others walking and eating and such.

Thank you.
