High Key(ish) for C&C

Did a little photoshoot for my friend (he needed some fresh pictures for his POF account lol). Here are a few I'm looking for opinions on, thanks for looking

whatever white blob is in the top right hand corner of 3 is really distracting to me. Otherwise, for high key 'edgy' portraits, I like them, but I don't like high key portraits, so take that FWIW.

That's not High Key, b.t.w.

For true high key, he would be wearing a white/light shirt. 'Keying' is when you match the subject's clothing/accessories to the background, so as to make the subject stand out from the background.

It's a common misconception that using a white background and being over exposed is what constitutes high key.

also, did you use a brush to whiten parts of the background out in #1? The white background is kind of weirdly non-uniform.

I lightened it up a bit but I think it might be because the background is a shiny stretchy satin that was hung on my curtain rod inform of my patio door so the light coming from behind it might make it look funny :S

I'll have to re-edit them. It looks normal on my iMac but I haven't seen them on my laptop yet and it usually shows everything.

Edit: The background looks awful on my laptop...
