High key sinle flash

I there a way I can get a high key image with a single off camera flash and use my built in as a second. I want to try high key with my son as the low key didn't go over well although I really enjoy them.

It is do-able. Set up a white background in a room with a large window or patio door that gets a lot of sunlight through it, making sure you have enough room to separate the subject from the background by several feet (ideally 8-10), and use your speedlight off-camera 30-40 degrees off lens axis on the opposite side of the window. I would over-expose just enough to blow out the background and then bring the skin tones back in post. Skip the built-in flash altogether.
