Hoping for some C&C:)

I am still learning/shooting for free. I did this little ones newborn photos, and now he's 4 months old! Lay it on me!
All taken at ISO 100 1/250 and f/2.5

composition does nothing for me and if you want people to C&C you try sharing less photos at a time.
1. foot chopped off.
2.Moms head is chopped off
3.looks under exposed
4. composition, almost feels like she is holding the baby away.
5.should have included all of the pumkin and the hands really take away from it.
I am not trying to rip apart your work in a negative way but I hope you use it to your advantage and learn fromit. don't be afraid to snap a thousand images,weare digital so its free.

Thank you for your input. I think one my biggest bad habits is shooting too close. People keep telling me..."why aren't you charging?"...... I have a lot more to learn lol (and I'd like a speed light).

You may also want to consider a reflector. I just got one recently and played with it tonight. I feel like it helped a lot.

Sometimes less is more and sometimes more is more. def.get a reflector. they go for about 20 bucks. as far as charging goes..... get a lot of practice under your belt first. Then start shooting for tips and eventually set your rates cause I found out that the people that usually say "why arent you charging?" is family and close friends. When complete strangers start telling you why you are not charging....thats when you should start charging.

A golden reflector would have greatly improved all of these shots.
The cropping of the foot and the head isn't a problem. The problem is framing and posing in general.
#1 is the best shot. It needs a different composition and/or a tighter crop.

Agree. The warmth is definitely ok.
