What is proper technique for shooting photos like the ones below?

Should lines in the the back ground be level, or should the player be more "framed" into the shot?
Non level horizons to me, are distracting.?

Just to give you an idea here are few shots I took of a local HS hockey game. I try for the action shots, but I do try to keep my lines straight. Sorry if they are little dark. $Hockey 102.jpg

It depends on how the image shot. If the tilted horizons create leading lines for the action than it's ok. If they add nothing to the image or just make it awkward to look at then the horizon should be straight.

In this case it should be straight.
