HORNPIPE

Aye Mates,
I am very deeply connected to me Irish heritage and often focus on Irish culture as subjects for me artwork. I play traditional Irish music and both o' me daughters were championship level Irish dancers.

I captured this image at a day dedicated to Irish Traditional Music and Dance at the Gaelic American Center. I found the shot and the lighting presented an interesting perspective just featuring the dancer's feet and shoes. I used digital manipulation to age the shoes and to lend the photo added interest. Seems to me I remember some o' me daughters shoes looking like this after hours and hours o' practice.
