Don't really know what you're talking about. This must've been placed in the wrong post. lol

Ok maybe that wasn't clear so let me break it down.

1) The horse shot struck me as having a static composition and I think it could be slightly desaturated. I feel like the composition is really important, the color thing might be more subjective so feel free to ignore it if you don't agree.

2) I took a quick look at his website and he has a lot of close up images. They are not horrible images or anything they just aren't getting close enough to the subject. I didn't realize he was using a point and shoot and frankly I'm kind of impressed GerritSmith was experimenting that much with it. If he was interested in going further I'm simply saying that he needs to invest in a little equipment for his DLSR (which I assumed he had). his choices for that are.

A) buy, rent or borrow a true macro lens that will produce 1:1 life sized images of very small subjects such as insects.

B) buy a reversal ring for his DLSR that will allow him to reverse mount the lens on the camera to get in closer to his subject

C) Buy close up rings and/or extension tubes that will increase the magnification of your existing lens.

I suppose the macro stuff is kind of an odd tangent so sorry if that was confusing.

I bought me a point and shoot for $70 and used it for a couple of months. But just a couple days ago my brother bought me a Canon 20D dslr. I dont have much money so I cant afford any equipment. If anyone has any equipment for sale for cheap, tell me!
