i googled Best Photography Forums, and I'm not sure how high ThePhotoForum was on the list, but it was one of the top ones. I also checked other forums for number of posts,etc and this one seemed good.

I searched google with "Photography Forum" also.

I had been working on making my photos better and suddenly a lightbulb appeared above my head that said "Hey join a online community and learn from them"

I was a member of another forum, and was banned because I ran afoul of their apparent "the photographer is always right and you'll be cast unto the flames of Hell if you ever disagree" policy. I have a habit of speaking my mind, and it was pretty obvious that the membership was unaccustomed to someone who wouldn't simply accept everything they said as gospel. It was also brand-specific, and the amount of Kool Aid being consumed was beyond impressive. I like my Canon gear, but damn.

So, I simply did a Google search for "photography discussion forums". You guys seemed like the least offensive of the bunch, so here I is...
