macro attachments like that are good cheaper ways to get into things to start with and later on they can be great fun to play with increased magnifications later on (or for a light item for an existing lens so that you don't always have to carry your macro lens with you).
B&W are a solid filter maker so a good "lens" like the above I would expect to have a good level of image quality to it
 
Its better than nothing, until I can get a real macro. Its getting to be spring now and Id like to have something like this for spring and summer. Thanks again.

My 28-80 lens already has a fairly close up focusing distance of about 14" (Im pretty sure its 14"), is there any guess as to how much closer this would let the camera get closer to the subject to take the picture (I understand that that is how these work..)?
