How much would my Camera be worth?

I would say hold on to your D7000 and wait til early next year. There should be some new cameras announced. The rumor is that the next 5D is going to have an even bigger focus on video capabilities. Granted, this is all just rumor. 5D Mark III Information [CR1] « Canon Rumors

This just doesn't make a lot of sense. If you are talking 5 years you have until 2015 with the D7000 and 2013 with the 5d2-which already has a problem riddled focus system and the D7000 doesn't.
Don't get me wrong, I do love my 5d2, but I am NOT loving it's focus system compared to the rest of my cameras and after using the D7000's focus system I think you will be disappointed. Especially in low light situations. Sports and fast moving? I rarely use my 5D2 for those things because of it's issues. It doesn't hold up. Now weddings or portraits I love it.

Just please rent or borrow for a week before you make this decision. I really think you are going to regret it.

I am not dead set on a 5D mark II, just set on going full frame. I was speaking generally about the lifespan of a new DSLR.
I haven't even began to really dive into research. But just from doing a little reading I felt like the 5D would suit me better. Maybe not though now that I see so many complaints.
I used the wrong wording in my OP. What I should have said was, I am looking into a 5D mark II.

I'm just afraid to invest in great glass and be trapped in the Nikon system. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the D7000. Definitely a good camera and I have no reached it's full potential. But I don't want to get too close. I shoot in very low light situations and I just feel that a full frame is necessary.
