If you're asking which camera and lenses to buy to shoot weddings, you are not ready to shoot weddings...

That may be true, but it is still a good idea for him to gain experience with lenses he will want if he ever plans on shooting weddings.

Oh no doubt. But it's not realistic to plan on shooting weddings right after you get a camera. It's also not practical to start out shooting weddings on film either.

Yeah i agree. But also there is no problem to start out shooting weddings with film. I started shooting. Film on a nikon n80 and never missed an exposure! Besides before this digital slr era everyone seemed to do just fine with film. But you are right not to just start with weddings but to have the right equipment to start with is smart!

It is over here because my friend who went back to film is getting more work, digital is too plastic and clinical
