Hello everyone, I went out for a photo of a bridge. But when you view this image on full screen you see a red glow arround the bridge and other objects. What cause this to happen? I'm using the Canon EOS 600D with kit lens. Which is a 18-55mm lens.

Greetz,

Get a better lens.

Chromatic aberration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Even my "pro" lens has a bit of CA when shot wide open though, so you could experiment with your kit lens, and see if shooting at f/5.6 - f/8 gives you less CA than shooting wide open, or with a smaller aperture...... but higher quality lenses, from what I understand, are lest succeptable to CA, but are by no means immune.

There are ways of fixing this issue in post as well.

Just remove the watermark then no one will know you took this.

What do you mean sir? I made this photo and put my own watermark on it. Those are the initials of my real name. I do this so no-one can use this photo.
It would be stupid to ask this on a photo that i did not make...
Thanks for you awnser Stradawhovious!

Why would someone steal this photo?
To edit it and upload it to a stockphoto site for example. So please don't ask me to remove my watermark and talk ontopic about it.
I don't see any reason to upload my photo without watermark for you. If you don't belive I took this photo just do.

The CA in this photo isn't unusually bad and would easily be removed in the Raw conversion process. Shoot Raw and let DPP take out the CA.

I believe you took it. That was never in question. Your watermark looks silly. I doubt anyone would steal this for a stock photos site.

Okay folks, this is NOT a discussion about the OPs watermark; his/her question relates to the CA issue in the posted image. Let's stay on track, shall we? Thanks Joe.

Sorry. I been feeling snippy this morning. The CA issues are mild. Even at full size I didnt see anything to worry about. Its just your kit lens. They tend to suffer from CA due to cheap build. Better glass fixes this issue easily.

I agree the CA isn't that much of an issue in this picture. I can't see your EXIF data though. What F-number was this taken at?
