Outstanding, simple an outstanding shot. Love the composition. Nicely done.

A little underexposed IMO but otherwise a great shot!

Great shot, not the "normal" hummingbird shot you typically see posted on here. :) The only things I could suggest are possibly cropping it a little tighter (since there's a lot of dead space at the bottom) and brightening it slightly to bring out a bit more detail in the bird.

How is this?

I took the photo in jpeg, so I don't want to edit it too much and mess it up.

That version I think looks more interesting. The dead space on the bottom is gone, and you kept the hummingbird in the same space relative to the edge of the photo (only now it's larger).

Thanks! I like the crop, but I'm just not sure about it being brighter... It may just be that I'm really bad with Lightroom...

I like it, but I'm not sure about the halo... Was the bird on a different layer? Tomorrow, I might be able to send you a .psd from when I tried editing the photo, and the bird and the feeder (I think) are masked really nicely.

Great shot!

Its never bright enough around here to hit those kinds of shutter speeds with natural light :/
