Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
composition is proving to be the hardest thing for me to get down! I am mainly after composition advice for this one, but will certainly take any other c&c you might have

I find the composition to pretty good tbh. Obviously using the rule of thirds, not cluttered. It's good, except I find her face to be underexposed. You use Photoshop or any editing software.?

I have paint.net and gimp. the b&w and sharpening was done in paint.net

Yeah, focus should be your main concern first, before composition. It can truely ruin your photo. Personally, I'd delete and reshoot.

haha, i appreciate the comments about the focus, but this was not a pre set up shoot... she was feeding the fish I turned the camera on and aimed/focused at the back of her head then called her name so she would turn around. BAM!! here is what resulted lol. That being said i should have been on spot focus instead of auto5 (or 11, i forget which it was set to) as well as spot metering (on her face)

as far as the darkness goes... several of my other photos have been said to be "dark" i wonder if my monitor is inaccuretly showing the photos??

Here's a chart so you can do a quick setup for brightness of your monitor. Monitor Brightness and Contrast Test

I agree with the others above but would say, in regard to composition, there is too much dead space to the right.

perfect! thank you! what would be a good solution for this though? If i zoom in more she becomes centered in the frame, thus ruining the rule of thirds...

my wall is just that boring!!
