This is the Humber Bridge. It is a pedestrian bridge, approximately 150m in length, located in the southwest corner of Toronto, by the lake, near the west-end beaches. This bridge carries pedestrians, hikers, and cyclists over a short portion of Lake Ontario, from one end of the lakefront to the other. Usually packed with people, on a cold night like last night you can catch it deserted for a few minutes at a time which gives opportunities for photos. Photo 1 shows the bridge as one approaches it heading east. Photo 2 shows what one sees looking at the Toronto downtown skyline at night from just beside the bridge. Photo 3 shows a side view of the bridge from a few steps away. These photos were shot with 20 to 30 second exposures on a tripod. Any feedback and comments welcome.

I see your D600 is ok again, did you service it at Nikons service centre in Mississauga ?

Yeah works like new. They repaired it in about a week and a half in Mississauga. It was the aperture lever that got stuck so they replaced it. To my surprise, they also replaced my camera grip which was slightly cosmetically damaged (my fault) from dropping my camera right after I bought it. All free of charge.

I heard somewhere Nikon does have good service and from my own experience and I see from your as well its nothing short of 100% excellent.
Glad your baby is back and working like a charm.

BTW we really need to meet for a little photo tour someday, I would really like that.

Nice! I'm a fan of the first and third photos. The second is good and all, but i think it's too far away from the city. I wish you could have gotten closer. And if I had to choose, the first is my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

I really like these. Brings back memories of living in TO. I havent done any night shots there since back in the early 80's on the Yonge Street strip when the mega record signs at A&A's and SAM's were there. My favorite is the first one.

Sounds good, we should plan something.

Thanks Jake. The City is distant in the second, I agree, however moving in closer was not an option, I kind of wish I swapped lenses and shot with my 70-300 to get a bit closer but admittedly it was a cold night and I was kind of lazy.

Haha that's understandable.

Thanks Woodsman.

This is such a cool bridge. The lights reflect perfectly off the water. I also like that its a pedestrian bridge so it makes shooting it much easier. I wish there was something like this around me.

Really like the first shot! I've never seen the bridge without any people on it.

Thanks Shipman. Yeah the bridge was a pleasure to shoot. I might go back to get it from more angles in the next few weeks.

Thanks Blacksheep. This is actually a very busy bridge but because it was a cold night there was a few minutes at a time when there was no one on it.
