I don't normally do animals

About the closest I have come to animal photography in the past was my cat. So how did I do for a first time?

They are nice, but they need a tighter crop. Also try to get down to their eye level and you should get better shots.

OP, shoot anything that moves as well as does not move...that is my policy.

In the first photo, the subject blends in with the background, the colour of the duck is similar to the colour of the water, but there is nothing you can do about that. Otherwise, what JohnnyBlack said above.
