I got my new Tamron Lens today!!

Picked up the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 !! It's to replace my kit XSI lens. I havent had the chance to take any photos with it yet, but will soon!!

I think you'll like it. It is my walkaround lens and is the one that lives most of the time on my 30D.

I've taken some casual photos around the house and I can already notice the difference between the tamron and the kit! I'm very pleased so far with it. I like the weight and feel of the Tamron.

From what I have read of this one, it is probably the best affordable kit replacement lens.
