Take a variety of aperture and shutter speeds to fully check it out. Also focus close and far. Pay attention to any noises that shouldn't be there while advancing the film. If the meter is good, your exposures should be good.

There will be A LOT of weird noises if you try to advance the film.

On another note, the manual says it will only take 1.5 hours to charge a dead battery. It's been on the charger for HOURS now and it still has the light on. :-( this is torture.

When the light is BLINKING, it is under charge....When the light stays ON, but steady, it's done. Soooooo...it's been charged for like 4 hrs...

Yes. I thought the light would shut off when charged, but I guess it just stops blinking. It's been ready for HOURS. but there is no daylight out for pictured anymore, and I don't have energy to bring out my lights, so it will be christened tomorrow!

I'd highly recommend some shots of PBR cans sitting on a vinyl from some band I've probably never heard of. And hummus. Gotta have hummus.

For the record, that's a gorgeous camera and now I'm waffling on my Canon fanboyism.
