I hate not having a second camera body

Gavjenks, Sometimes I really wonder about your responces to questions LOL....

My reasons for wanting a second body are simple to have it for fast lens changes and back up. Can I wait till Fall.... at this point I am not sure. I am getting some good opertuinites to expand my craft if my 5DM3 dies I would be left with nothing while it gets fixed. Honestly if that where to happen I would be buying my second body at that moment. But I am torn between getting a 1D, 1D-C or the next better than 5DM3 in the fall. Do I need a 1D or 1D-C... Probably not, do I want another 5D3... Yes , but not if a better platform with more MP is comming. Having two identical cameras really isn't necessary for me as I want to gain capability or image size. The only reason I didn't get the 1D is the MP count and just didn't need that speed. If it the MP was the same as the 5D I would have bought it instead.

Yes, I have been producing 32X24 prints for an art studio. I had honestly thought about a hasselbland at one point. The Nikon D-800 was another option too. But 90% of my reproductions are 11X19 since that's the size printer I own at the moment.

I make 12x18 prints from my Leica M4 and 35mm film that look great so I can't see a problem with another 5dmk3, have you looked at the Pentax MF digital about the same price as a D4/1D

I see a lot of people talking about money and my personal opinion on that part is that it is none of our business what you spend your money on or whether you can afford it or not.
I agree with the comments about having two of the same bodies (by Gav). I wanted a second body so that I could change lenses fast without actually changing lenses. I came across a 7D that was so cheap I had to buy it. My first body is a 5DIII so having a 7d for a second is awkward for me. I find that I do not carry it and really only used it once or twice. It really is confusing changing with two different bodies. I found that It took me unnecessary time to think about how to set things and where the actual controls were to do so. So I will end up selling this 7D (with only 2800 clicks on it) and buying a second 5dIII.
