I lost my Eagle virginity today!

I have practiced for months hoping to find an eagle some day. There are not a billion of them in CT so it is rare to see one especially in August. I was happy with my first results, although it took flight before I was really ready and I panicked! I have seen many pictures, but I was shocked how big they are in real life. It was in a tree about 40 feet above me, but too many leafs to get a shot. Enjoy em or hate em, let me know...

Those are so nice. Well done and congrats on catching a Bald.
I live in Washington as well and see them quite often. But I can't get shots like that.

Way to go! Lucky for me we have so many Bald Eagles returning to Florida (2nd most populated state for Eagles in the lower 48). I have 5 Eagle nest I have been photographing for 6 years. They are all coming in getting ready for nesting. Our Eaglets are born in the 1st week of January, just like clock work.
