Someone I know has a 6D and just held it tonight and loved it. With the grip, Flash and 2.8 glass made my canon 60D feel like a feather. Awesome camera and it felt real comfy in the hand.

Well I cant be a sponsor for the OP because Since last February I went through the Nikon D7000,D3100,D90 and now hooked on the canon 60D for the time being and I am a bad influence. Now I am looking at the 6D or Nikon D610 for Income tax maybe or camera rehab.

I love the 6D and usually would promote the crap out of it because of its low light performance isn't really matched by much however...the D610 is going to be much better for the birds and such that you like to shoot. But I would ask that if you were looking into the D610 then why did you fork up the cash for that 70-200 recently?

That's A good question and to be honest sometimes I don't know why I do what I do. Maybe Impulse I think and not such a good thing. However, I don't regret it now. I would probably pass the canon down to oldest son if I go Nikon if I stick to canon FF then I got a niece piece of glass to start with.

If you want true rehab, then buy ME a d610.


Luckily i made the conscious decision to buy only FF AF-D lenses. So when I make the upgrade to a FF i dont have to buy new lenses from DX specific lenses. Luckily i dont have the itch to go to Canon.

From the myriad of "WHAT CAMERA DO I BUY" threads, I already know to buy what fits me best, and... well... that I'm going to be broke for a very, very long time because I'll never have enough lenses. I can see it: "Ooh, look, a 50mm 1.4! I know, I already have a 1.8, but this one's 1.4!"

LOL I have a black rapid strap, well, the other day I was in Colonial Photo and Hobby (A local Camera store) and i stumbled upon a black rapid meant for 2 cameras...OMG. WANT!

Just looked into that f/1.2... Not nearly as bad as I was expecting, actually. Way out of my price range (well, pretty much anything is), but still, doesn't seem like a bad price for that kind of glass.
