1. for concert auditorium
( take photo for my kid in school ) certificuit award, last time i shoot on my iphone too far ,

2. for beach/scenced/landscape
( florida trip summer )

55-250mm is too slow a lens for concert photography being f4-5.6. You really need at least an f2.8 lens for this. I like using a fast 135mm prime for that kind of stuff.

For landscape photography wider is not always better due to a wide angles tendency to squish vericals into the center of the frame. This means that things like mountains, buildings and even people are often better shot with traditional focal lengths of 24, 28, 35mm etc. So I'd say stick with an 18-55mm kit lens or get a 18-55mm f2.8 if you want an upgrade. Ultra wides are a bit specialist and best if you want big foregrounds and a lot of sky in the shot, but not many vertcals in the centre of the frame.
