What's new

I... Need... A... Challenge !

need challeges and ideas? I go here: DPChallenge - A Digital Photography Contest
I've never entered the contests but I do some of the challenges on my own for fine art photography ideas.

Here are this weeks:

1. Find a creative use of a shallow depth of field while using red as your primary color.

2. Take a picture of a structure in a way that emphasizes emotional content rather than form. Subject should be identifiable as a structure, and although human elements can appear in the image, it should be predominantly about the building.

3. Turn garbage into art this week by taking an appealing photo of a generally not-so-appealing subject.

Sounds like they could all be great subjects...

I don't know what to take pictures of ! This sucks . Any ideas ?

You don't know what interests you ?

texting. makeup. nails. her boyfriend. violin.

in that order.

And if that is too much, try this one.

Take the most boring thing around your house (Dad is off limit though ) and make it interesting.

In a way, that is what I have been doing for the last year. Not easy but a good way to get your brain going the creative way. Those creative juices don't flow on their own just like that all the time. Sometimes you have to give them a good kick in the rear-end.

One of the orchestras she is in.

Toledo International Youth Orchestra. some of the finest young string musicians in the Toledo area. their mission is "Bridging cultural differences through music"

every summer they travel to other countries on a 1 to 2 week concert tour.

this past July, they went to Japan for a week, followed by Korea for a week.

but it's not just going off an playing concerts..

they went to school with kids there, experienced a day in their lives. met the mayors of cities they visited. went to monasteries, went to the imperial palace. spent July 4th in Hiroshima. in addition, they made new friends, and played side by side concerts with their Japanese and Korean counterparts.
