i need a little help..with a new camera that i have

i just got a minolta srT201 and i cannot figure out how the light meter in the camera works... it has a circle with a just a line... i dont have a manual... to figure it out... and my other camera was nothing like this... so if you can help to figure out how to figure out this light meter in this camera /... please do...

Adjust the aperture and speed until the line bisects the circle. If they're not moving, change the battery.

On the baseplate of the camera there is a rotary switch, There are three positions OFF, ON and BC. The BC position is ONLY for checking battery condition. The others are self explanatory. You may have to replace the battery, or in these Minolta SRT201 cameras it is not unusual for the light meter to be dead. They are after all 30 years old.
