I need to find a camera with the macro feature

Hello,

a doctor who lives in another state asked my to email him a photo of my eyes (irises) He said to use a camera with the macro feature. I know absolutely nothing about cameras. Can someone recommend a camera that is not too expensive and easy to use that has the macro feature?

If you need it only this time why would you buy the camera. Borrow it from a friend or go to the some local photographer.

Don't buy a camera just for that purpose. Find a pro or a practiced amateur with that capability and ask for the photo from him/her. Getting your irises in focus will not be an easy task, and might be nearly impossible when trying to do it yourself.

I have to agree with the others and I'm surprised that a doctor would ask for a regular camera shot like this as its unlikely to hold high definition detail if taken by an untrained/inexperienced individual. I'd find a friend or photographer local to you who can take the photo for you with the right kit.
