I have about $300 and I'm looking into buying a digital slr. I need it to have a lens with it, and I'd prefer it to be new or refurbished.

I have been looking into the Nikon D3000 and D5000 but I don't have enough money. If I can find either of them for under $300 with a lens, I would get it, used, refurbished, or new. I need one soon for my new job. Please help me. Thanks!

I've seen the original digital Rebel on B&H used for around $200. Then you can get the 18-55 IS for another $100. It's a pretty good start. You could also pick up a 50mm 1.8 for another $100.

My Samsung Pentax *ist DSLR rebrand job was purchased several years ago from an pawn shop ebay auction for $200

You're not going to get a new anything for $300. Especially with a lens.

Check eBay, craigslist, the classified section of the paper, etc...

You could probably find a used kit for that price, but it will be a few years old.

Lots of used DSLRs on ebay. I saw a Canon D60 for $169.99 + free shipping (body only), or a 300D like mine with the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens for $275 + 16.95 shipping.

There's a bunch. Here's a search that arranges them by price lowest to highest. Definitely read the descriptions. Don't buy "As-is". Here's the link:

Got my Canon Rebel XT with 18-55mm lens for $305 used in great shape on Ebay.

You can buy a $2000 camera + lenses + flash and charge people $2500 for wedding photography?

Just kidding guys :) :lmao:
