Thanks everybody, much appreciated by all the congrats. Sam (a.k.a. Sandra) and I have been partners for 4 years and the timing seemed right. I couldn't have found a better woman if I tried for 40 more years. She can be a hot headed woman at times but there are a lot of benefits that comes along with that amount of passion. I want to say that I could grow old and grey with her, but since I'm already there, I can say that this will be the last woman I'll ever have sex with. I am the monogamous sort, it makes life much simpler and more fulfilling. I like that she speaks her mind, is independant and easy on the eyes. Tough combination to get all three in one person.
For those interested, here are some of the particulars.....
Cut - although it is a radiant shape, the cut is brilliant. Loads of brightness, fire and scintillation
Color - Fancy Yellow Intense (means a slightly darker yellow = more rare)
Clarity - VS1
Carat Weight - 1.13
GIA certified.
Budget - blown to hell.
TBDOMG
Where's the ring she gave you?
Slight respite on the ceremony. It won't happen for about another two years, when her daughter leaves for college. But that's a good question. Got anybody you can refer me to? Oh wait... pgriz has a good suggestion.Anyone know where we can find a good photographer?
Pretty much the same reaction here.In Kundalini's case, it'll be a bunch of selfies, with Winston being the second shooter.
Kundalini, sincere and heartfelt congratulations. When I popped the question (a few years back, now), both mothers said "Finally!"![]()
I know! 2013-2023 gear budget is non-existent now.can you imagine all the lighting gear you could have bought with that money!
Congrats, i am married and regr!...have no regrets![]()
Good questions. First off, it is a diamond. She's a blond and it goes well with her hair color. Natural yellow diamonds are more rare than clear or white diamonds and so is she. It's not our first rodeos, so the hell with tradition. We'll probably have a small ceremony and be barefoot in the sand. The party afterwards though...... a blowout. What is the symbolism of the yellow?
Is it Diamond? Citrine? Topaz?
Just wondering. Happens to be my favorite color.
