I shot my first wedding and reception on 10.9.10!

Glad I can't sleep tonight. Those are great. Of course, the greatness comes mostly from the people involved but your shots are good too.

Thank god there are still some normal people out there. :)

But you know, it is a compliment to your skills too. When you look at a photo and you don't even think about the fact that it's a photo, it's very good. How many wedding photos can you say that about?
 
I like them. I think it gives them a more "photograph" feel instead of a wedding snapshot.

how did you get the black background? what did you use to get it? program, settings etc...really curious because I am thinking like you. I find they almost look like they were done in a studio. Nice job!!
 
Thank you! SB-600 pointed at the ceiling at 85mm did most of the work. CS5 did the rest. Quick select and paintbrush tool.
