Dan, looks like yours is getting ready to go to seed. As summer progresses they curl into a ball and dry up. When fully flowered look for the small brown protuberance in the middle of the white flower head. This is a positive sign of Queen Anne's Lace and not Water Hemlock, which is poisonous.

If you dip the flower in pancake batter and fry it, they can be quite tasty.
