Had a hard time with Photo Bucket today. 60ft frozen waterfall. C&C always welcome

Difficult shot to do. The whites came out good though and the blacks are still black. Good job in
processing. But I must add that the falls back there are not anything like the ones here.
Looks just treacherous.

Saw it at work yesterday and reminded myself to come back and comment.

I think the exposure and processing is good, but it's also a little busy. I find myself wanting to crop it in half. I think I prefer cropping the top half, making the focal point the water rushing into the pool.

Thanks Leonore. I see what you're saying. Cut off the top 3rd where there's a natural break. These falls are 60 feet high, but really lost the feeling of height in the photo.
Someone standing on that center white rock, looking at the falls would have put everything in perspective and I think would have greatly helped the photo. Want to volunteer? A couple stone hops on the icy rocks, and you'd have it made.

Hi Rick. The image is not boring, but neither is is very compelling. The technical side is fine, but I'm not sure that rendering it in B/W gives the best impression of the ice. I'm imagining that there was blue in the ice, overlaid by the white of the snow. Another thing is that the image, at least to me, appears tilted, as my eye insists that the vertical "should" be tilted maybe 5-10 degrees to the right. The scale of the falls is not obvious - it could be a macro for all I know. Perhaps this is one place where a foreground object could hint at the scale.
