I like the effect in that last shot...kind of looks like a painting/print.

So was I after walking up and down that hill a couple of times - I did crop and straighten before printing! The pub next door to the church wasn't bad either and most welcome!

How did you do the second print?

In Photoshop or Elements.

Duplicate (ctr J) - Desaturate (shift ctr U) - Duplicate (ctr J)- invert (ctr I) (looks like a negative) - go to layer styles and select "Colour Dodge (looks white) - Go to filter "other - minimum or gaussian blur. Play with the settings. Flatten image (shift ctr E) and use levels or curves to get the intensity you want. Use of the history brush at a low setting with soft edges lets you colour it back in. This one had another duplicate layer with style "overlay" to give a painted look to the colours.
