Thank you W.Y.Photo. I post cropped this one a bit. I really wanted to get this as symmetrical as I could. And I just noticed that I didn't clone out the wire going up to the window on the right. Oh well.

It still shows that you knew to keep the camera exactly parallel to the wall in order to crop it like that. I used to have the hardest time with that.. wondering why I could never get flat walls symmetrically cropped even when I used a long lens.. then I was like ooooh.. perspective!! lmao

A good eye indeed.I agree with you W.Y on the parallell.I tried the level indicator once built in my 6D and oh crap I can't stay still long enough for the level indicator to level.I felt like I was getting sea sick.Heck with dat,much much easer to tilt correct in post whoo hoo.Thats with out the coca cola.LOL

LOL @DarkShadow, there are times that I am level and there are times that I'm not. I got this one pretty close and finished it up in post. (I was far enough back and was able to shoot wide to allow for cropping)

I've been meticulously using the virtual horizon and a tripod on my shots lately, still I notice I'm often off by approximately +-1.05 degrees. I don't know if I could do better even with a bubble level

So I guess fixing in post is quite normal

I have tried to lock mine down on a tripod with levels and using the 7D level and I too am still off just a hair. Crazy, but I decided that I wasn't going to get worked up about a degree +/-.

W.Y.Photo. I used to wear my ball cap and cowboy hats slightly tilted on my head. When people would say that my hat was crooked, I would always respond, "Nope, my hats straight, my heads on crooked." lol

And there you discover that "visual" level is not always "physical" level. Personally, even with a tripod with a geared head, I often have to adjust the level in post.

Personally I think the in camera level indicator is to darn sensitive. I had mine level on a tripod and snugged tight enough not to move but soon as I backed off my hands easily away from camera the indicator went off again. I treat like horseshoes and hangernaids, Close enough.
