Someone is painting my home right now. Alone.

Apparently the landlord knows him, but still. I have nuff stuff he good run away with.

My only saving grace is that I started another MSN account and added myself to it. The other account is logged in and I can see that my computer at home is still on.

you mean to tell me you didn't set up the webcam?! shame on you!

They'll probably just be laughing at your enormous porn collection.

Knowing you there's probably also a half-used bottle of:

So the computer has been turned off. Now I'm really nervous. Although I can only assume that he unplugged it because the power cord was in the way.

Still. If my stuff is all gone I wonder if I have any rights with the landlord.

Like, she covers all my **** with her insurance?

Ahhh...I'm freaking out.

Do you have renters insurance?

The only way she'd cover your stuff on the insurance would be if it was included in the rent. But with such an unknown variable this is very unlikely! Her only concern is the building!

You should have set up a web cam the we could all have seen it on one of those shows like "Caught on the job" or something!

Seriously though I hope everything stays OK.

Silly boy. You should have put up all your valuables.

And like Alison suggested - I think renter's insurance is up to the renter, not the landlord. They have insurance on the actual property and buildings against fire or whatever, but each renter's personal stuff is their own to insure. There's no way to differentiate among the value of each renter's stuff.

More than likely everything is fine, and your computer had to be unplugged. You obviously haven't painted many rooms, have ya? I like all the furniture shoved to the middle of the room, and everything unplugged and out of the way.

What sucks is that when I approached the Landlord about painting the place I asked her if I could do it myself and have her pay for the paint and supplies. Woulda been much cheaper, and if she'd have known me, she would have known that I'm a serious perfectionist. Place woulda been....perfect.

But alas, I take the risk. I don't think I've ever done anything worth-it in my life without taking a risk. The colours that I picked out are going to look amazing. Can't wait to see it all completed.

And yes I spent last night and this morning pushing everything into the middle of the apartment. I figured one electrical cord wouldn't hurt, but aparently it was in the way.

...or he's taken my computer.

...or he's taken my computer.
bwahahahaha!!!!

He hasn't taken anything, I promise.: Relax. He'd much rather get more jobs around there, than be accused of theft and never get hired back, while losing the recommendation of his friend. Keep it simple. ;)

I am proud to know you've painted before.

Signed,

Miss Home Improvement

I'm sure it will be fine. He's probably spraying the paint which means no cords or other stuff in the way :D

He seemed alright. I just had a weird gut feeling, when we shook hands last.

I tend to get that about everyone though. I have trust issues.

Ok, so from what I can tell...nothing is missing. However, the colour I picked out for the kitchen wasn't the colour that I thought it was. A light blue colour has turned out more like lavender. My kitchen is now fully gay.

...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think I'm just going to wait until he's done, go buy a can of blue paint, and do it myself. Stupid paint.
