Here's a shot I took today. I like it but don't love it. I'm curious to see what other people think. Be honest!

Thanks for your time, Vic

I'd have to ask why you like it. The sides of the bridge make good leading lines, and they bring the eye to a definite point in the image, but when the eye gets there, there's nothing to see. Additionally, the sky seems very heavily processed. This has the potential be a nice spot for a shoot, but right now it seems more like an empty movie set.

Just my $00.02 worth - your mileage may vary.

That, or I'm 3 months ahead of everyone else.

I wouldn't have included the metal thing in the beginning of the bridge.

I would stay out of landscape mode on your camera. It decided on f/5.6, which I think is too large => too shallow depth of field. f11 or f16 would've gotten the whole bridge sharp, which would improve the image imo. Also, I agree with what's said about the lines leading to nothing.

Great idea, though! :)

My clock?
he probably looked at your Met data and saw the date in there , may be a good idea to make it current if wrong. Back to the image, the leading lines idea is cool but does not lead to anything. Looks like he docking area makes a right turn to where? A person walking away from you may have added something to the shot.

Thanks for sharing and shoot well, Joe

I will definitely change my clock if it's off. But yeah, I would agree with what everyone said. I had the same hunch but wasn't 100% sure. I will return with better pictures!
