Impromptu Portrait

I had my camera with me to cover a school event today, and I grabbed this picture of a friend and his girlfriend. I'm quite happy with how it turned out, feedback is appreciated!

I like it. Nice job. The faces have good exposure and they stand out from the background. I don't really have any issues with the blown out spots behind them.

I'd leave it as is. For an outdoor portrait, it looks nicely balance. Everyone has their own style, but typically for couple portraits I don't like too much contrast. So the original looks pretty good.

Not liking the color of the skin. Her lips and gum look like she is dead or something. Other than that, it is a pretty good shot.

She wasn't wearing makeup, I agree with the dead ish color but I didn't want to artificially
colorize it.

The image is fine, great pose and captured their smiles well. Only thing is back ground which could be improved, either by shooting lower and using the sky or just by having a more uniform area. Highlights are a little distracting and could be lost quite easily. Your lucky to have a little rim light which helps to separate them from background and this is something to remember for the future when dark haired subjects may blend into the dark background. But its all down to your taste - I say moments matter most & you captured a nice one!

No man.. Not suggesting adding color. It is just LR adjustment of wither WB & tint, or HSL slider to boost some color. Im positive she has more red than that (with or without make up).
