Hi guys, capturing good shots of people has been the hardest for me to learn. This shot, I really wasn't being to serious about getting a good capture. After I saw it though, I liked it. Tried to get somewhat of a Lomo look w/ PP, and it really pops for me. Really like the attitude, the "I am in no mood to pose for a picture" look.

Anyway, was wondering if the vertical beam hurts the pic more, or if cutting off her elbow was worse.

Thanks for any input...

I can't say that one is worse than the other, but you obviously wouldn't want either one in a picture. You have a cropped appendage in one and then a right frame distraction in the other. It just means watching for these things when you're behind the camera, which I'm also learning to do too. But you're right, it's a cute face and pose she is making for the picture. Better luck next time! :)

you left out the third alternative.
I cut down the post.

(But pick better times to shoot so you don't get such hellacious shadows.):sexywink:

Yea, it was about noon when I shot this, so the shadows on the face do suck...

Thanks for the suggestions.
