Great light!

Nice step in the process. Just keep doing and refining. As Traveler once told me. Hold yourself to a higher standard. With that mantra you can do anything in time. Have a great day. Ed

I really like this one the prominent flowers are the old ones releasing their petals so the young one get sunshine.

Thanks Ed. I'm not a huge flower person but really enjoy your work. If I get half as good I'll be happy.

Thank you. Yes the old making way for the new.

I really like the shot, did you pull back the backs to get the dark background or was it like that when you shot it?

It was in very bright sunlight, and if I remember correctly, dropped the exposure a bit (was a little over exposed), pulled back on the highlights (petals were clipping), a increase in shadow and blacks. Not sure if I went about PP properly but I am fairly pleased with it. I didn't get the initial exposure correct so lost a bit of detail.

Also I forgot I had this on my bif setting so 1/1600 shutter and ended up with ISO 2000. Would have been much better at lower ss and ISO.

This was shot with 300mm+1.4TC (eq. 840mm) so I had to shoot it from quite a ways back. I think I should have taken out my 12-100mm lens for this shot.
