Internet Chatter on the Ricoh CX1

Geez...

I can't believe how much Internet chatter there is on the Ricoh CX1 this morning. Lots of reviews and even a firmware update.

Everyone seems impressed with the dynamic range mode. While it does not shoot real HDR images it does seem to cheat in a way that looks pretty convincing.

In fact I noted on our blog in March about the two compacts currently on the market that claim to shoot HDR images. Do they really? Nope. They cheat, but like I said they look pretty darn convincing. High Dynamic Range HDR Compact Cameras
